{"id":252,"date":"2015-11-12T12:20:54","date_gmt":"2015-11-12T12:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.acumass.com\/?p=252"},"modified":"2020-08-26T09:21:53","modified_gmt":"2020-08-26T09:21:53","slug":"prominent-content-creators-accusing-facebook-of-facilitating-stealing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acumass.com\/en\/prominent-content-creators-accusing-facebook-of-facilitating-stealing\/","title":{"rendered":"Prominent content creators accusing Facebook of facilitating stealing."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Youtube video called &#8216;How Facebook is Stealing Billions of Views&#8217; created by information design studio <a href=\"http:\/\/kurzgesagt.org\/\">Kurzgestagt<\/a>\u00a0has been sweeping the web since being uploaded to the studio&#8217;s Youtube channel on November 10th &#8211; the video which has since been shared by online influencers, personalities, content creators and tech leaders since then; has already amassed over one million views and counting.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1060\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t7tA3NNKF0Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>People have been drawing attention to copyright infringement on Facebook for a while now, and although it&#8217;s obvious that Facebook should be accommodating and rewarding video content and it&#8217;s creators, it&#8217;s current model doesn&#8217;t support a fair reward system, there is no real partnership yet between the creators of content and the platform itself and in the meantime, freebooters get to line their pockets with ad revenue generated from views inspired by somebody else&#8217;s hard work and creative efforts.
